The hall of the House of Culture – Public Reading Point in Boumalne Dadès, within Tinghir Province, hosted on Thursday, December 4, 2025, the activities of the Third Regional Forum on Trade and Distribution of the Drâa-Tafilalet Region. The event was organized by the Regional Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Regional Council, the Tinghir Provincial Authority, the Tinghir Provincial Council, the Municipality of Boumalne Dadès, and the Regional Investment Center. The forum witnessed significant participation, bringing together economic actors, traders, professionals, as well as representatives of public and banking institutions, reflecting a clear diversity in the profiles of participants and partners. The forum opened with an official session marked by speeches delivered by the President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Drâa-Tafilalet, the Regional Vice-President, the Vice-President of the Tinghir Provincial Council, and the President of the Municipality of Boumalne Dadès. All speakers emphasized the importance of this regional event and its role in developing the trade and distribution sector as a key driver for boosting the local and regional economy. The forum then moved on to its scientific sessions, which addressed the theme “Sustainable Trade and Distribution in the Era of Smart Transformation.” These sessions featured academic presentations by specialized scholars, including university professors and experts in digital transformation and supply chains. They offered analytical perspectives on the future of trade in light of rapid economic and technological changes, stressing the necessity of integrating innovation and digitalization into the commercial ecosystem. A second session was dedicated to the theme “Financing, Support, and Networking,” during which the roles of banking institutions and support bodies in assisting small and medium-sized enterprises and strengthening their capacities were discussed. Contributions were also made by representatives of public institutions involved in financing, investment, employment, guidance, and professional training, thereby enhancing opportunities for a transition toward a more sustainable regional commercial model. The forum also provided an opportunity for broad discussion among participants, focusing on the challenges of modernizing commercial infrastructure, improving distribution services, developing training and capacity-building programs, and upgrading the financing system. The discussions further highlighted the vital role of traders and professionals in driving regional and national economic development. At the conclusion of the forum’s activities, the recommendations emerging from the discussions were read out, and a message of loyalty and allegiance was addressed to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him. The proceedings of this important regional event were then officially closed, reinforcing its position as a platform for dialogue, consultation, and coordination of efforts toward a modern and integrated commercial system in the Drâa-Tafilalet Region.
