Holding of the Ordinary Session for October 2025

In the meeting hall of the regional headquarters of the Chamber in Ouarzazate, the ordinary session of the General Assembly of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of the Drâa-Tafilalet Region was held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, corresponding to 28 Sha’ban 1446H. The session was chaired by Mr. Mohamed Ansari, President of the Chamber, in the presence of the members of the General Assembly as well as representatives of external services, including Mr. Karim Majbour, representing the Province of Ouarzazate; Mr. Hamid Said, Regional Delegate of Industry and Trade in Errachidia; Mr. Moulay Zahid Sidi Ami, Vice-President of the Territorial Commune of Errachidia; Mr. Mohamed Farhat, representative of the Provincial Delegation of Industry and Trade in Ouarzazate, along with the Chamber’s administrative staff and some local media outlets.

The President of the Chamber opened the session with a welcoming speech, thanking the attendees and presenting the main activities carried out by the Chamber since the last session, as well as updates on important files. He also summarized the key meetings of the Administrative Bureau to follow up on the implementation of recommendations from the previous session, including:

  • Organizing regional forums for professionals on investment, financing, digital transformation, and marketing of local products.
  • Monitoring the implementation of the Chamber’s development plan and the progress of its second phase in coordination with the contracted study office.
  • Developing the Chamber’s communication tools and strengthening its digital presence.
  • Conducting preliminary studies for the business center project in Errachidia.
  • Strengthening international cooperation through participation in professional exhibitions in Turkey.
  • Organizing trainings for merchants in partnership with Bank Al-Maghrib on financial literacy and tax updates.
  • Following up on resolutions from the previous session, including implementing the partnership agreement with the Regional Council, launching the implementation of the business center agreement in the urban commune of Errachidia, and monitoring the financial regularization of plots allocated for professional premises in Ouarzazate and the business center in Tinghir.

The President then presented the proposed agenda:

  • Presentation and approval of the minutes of the Chamber’s General Assembly ordinary session of October 2024, held in Ouarzazate on Monday, October 28, 2024.
  • Discussion and approval of a framework agreement for the implementation of industrial and commercial infrastructure projects in the Drâa-Tafilalet Region.
  • Discussion and approval of a partnership framework between the Chamber and the Territorial Commune of Errachidia to support, develop, and accelerate the city’s economic and social development through cooperation and implementation of joint projects serving the city’s merchants, artisans, and service providers.
  • Presentation and approval of the Chamber’s annual report for 2024.
  • Presentation and approval of the Chamber’s administrative account for 2024.
  • Presentation and approval of the Chamber’s 2025 work program.
  • Presentation and approval of the Chamber’s 2025 budget.

The General Assembly then examined all items on the agenda thoroughly and comprehensively. The session took place in a serious and responsible atmosphere, and all points were unanimously approved. The members of the General Assembly also expressed their appreciation for the wise royal decision not to perform the Eid sacrifice this year, highlighting that it reflects His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s concern to ease citizens’ burdens amid current climate and economic challenges.

The session concluded at 3:00 PM, following the reading of a message of loyalty and devotion addressed to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, containing the highest expressions of respect and attachment to the Glorious Alaouite Throne.
